Welcome buzzing Backyard Stargazers to your first official task, in the process of becoming a space explorer. My name is Space Ranger Holmes and I am your commanding officer. I have prepared a short mission briefing video for you to watch below. It is important that you read all instructions before moving onto the next step. 2. Completing your ACADEMY Application
Part of the process of becoming an astronaut is filling out an application form. You should have received this file from your commanding officer. If you have not received it then you can download it using the link below.

3. Space - The final Frontier
Beside looking up at the sky at night, have you seen anything to do space anywhere else? Well you must have. Space is part of our culture as it forms the foundation for some scientific discoveries and some literature (movies, books, TV series and more). I want to know how much you know about space so far...

WOAH! You know so much already. Well the next part of your application involves labeling a few things that appear in our night sky. Use the special telescope below to identify and label all the mysterious things you see.

Space is massive! Trillions of planets and stars are still waiting to be found and studied. Space exploration is still new and people have not even set foot on another planet. There are many questions that still need to be answered. What do you wonder about when it comes to space?
